If you are having all 4 wisdom teeth removed, then it is best to wait 7 days before vaping. If you are having only 1 or 2 wisdom teeth removed, then it is best to wait 3 days before vaping. If you are a heavy smoker and you are having all 4 wisdom teeth removed, then it is best to wait 14 days before vaping.

The same goes for vaping as for smoking traditional cigarettes. You should ideally wait 48 hours or two full days after tooth extraction before you begin smoking again. Anything less and you severely increase your risk of dry socket and other complications like increased pain, infection, and delayed healing.Aug 19, 2022

How long after wisdom teeth removal can I vape?

It is recommended to vape after wisdom teeth removal when the patient is no longer taking pain medications. I have had many patients who were going to have their wisdom teeth removed, and they always ask me how long they need to wait to vape. I tell them that I am not a doctor, and I recommend asking their dentist or oral surgeon.

How long after surgery can I vape?

If you want to vape, you need to wait several days to vape after the operation. The nicotine in e-cigarettes can be absorbed through the skin, so it is important to avoid skin irritation. After surgery, you will need to wait until you heal completely before vaping. In general, the healing process should take about four to six weeks.

Can vaping after tooth extraction cause tooth pain?

Well, the same sucking action used to take a drag from your vape pen is the same one used to smoke cigarettes. After tooth extraction, this sucking motion can essentially vacuum the clot out of the socket, causing severe pain and delaying healing.

Can you smoke e-cigarettes after wisdom teeth removal?

Smoking e-cigarettes after a wisdom tooth removal can impact your healing as nicotine products restrict blood flow, inflame the gums, and damage your overall oral health. During these 96 hours, your mouth is recovering from the invasive process of oral surgery.

When Can You Stop Worrying About Dry Socket?

Of all the complications that can occur from smoking after tooth extraction, dry socket is the most common. Vaping only increases the likelihood because it is a risk regardless of whether you smoke.

Will Vaping Harm A Newly Healed Extraction?

Once the socket created from your tooth extraction has healed, vaping isn’ t likely to affect it any longer. That doesn’t mean that vaping is good for it, however, as inflammation, gum recession, and the potential for mouth cancer still exist.

Or CAREFULLY get some gauze wet and place over the Pulled teeth. And vape carefully. Remove and toss the gauze. Repete when needed. I did this when smoking before. Worked great

Not a good idea. Nicotine increases bleeding risk. Give a few more hours.

Don't vape hard. If you pop any clots out, it'll be the worst pain you've ever had for a week. Be careful and you should be fine

My thoughts are I would smoke cigarettes no matter what so can vaping be anywhere near as harmful? Call it.

Ditto on what VapieDan said. I'd smoke no matter what, actually have a tooth pulled a few months before I stopped smoking and lit up as soon as I got in the car after the extraction.

Well my own experience is that I am in the process of getting all of my upper teeth removed. I have no enamel on my teeth courtesy of my birth mother. I have only experienced dry sock once and it doesn't hurt as bad as an incoming wisdom tooth cracking the molar next to it.

Having worked in an oral surgeons office (back in the day...typically the doctor who removes wisdom teeth) - I will say this. Dry Socket from wisdom teeth extraction is very painful being that it is so close to your tempromandibular joint. It will frequently feel like an ear infection.
