Will vaping cause dry socket? Extremely unlikely. I have not heard of a single case in over 10 years of usage of electronic cigarettes by millions of vapers. It is true that chemicals in tobacco smoke can interfere with the healing process of any tooth extraction, but e-cigarette aerosol has a very different (and much simpler and benign) chemistry, either in its gas phase or its “particulate” phase: “particles” of this aerosol are droplets, not proper particulate matter like cigarette smoke TAR (Tobacco Aerosol Residue). The act of drawing on an e-cigarette (or a cigarette) can be potentially

If you vape in the same way you would draw a cigarette. Known as mouth to lung or mtl, which is how you would use most pod style vape systems like a Juul or similar. Then yes it will most likely cause an issue with dry socket but in my experience if you vape using the direct lung method. It is always better to follow the medical instructions given to you just to be on the safe side.

Dental work is the WORST, since there's pretty much nothing you can so to alleviate the pain. I just had four temp crowns taken off and 4 put on all in one appointment. Not fun. Your experience sounds horrible. Good dental work isn't cheap, and cheap dental work isn't good. I would just play it safe and try not to inhale too hard.

I hope you feel better soon. I just went through the same thing with a root canal that went bad. The endodontist kept pushing me off till the infection almost killed me. Over a month later the infection still flaring up, oral surgeon took the took out and still trying to track down the remaining cause of the pain, swelling, and infection.

I had full mouth extraction last year. The original 16 or 18 root canals that I had to have done about 30 years ago caused me a lot of grief.

I was rocking a broken tooth for about 6 months, then one morning I woke up and it looked like I stuffed a pair of tube socks in my cheek. It'd didn't feel pleasant either.
