Different brands have different approaches to PG/VG ratios depending on the end result they wish to create for their users, however, by far the most common ratios you are likely to encounter are:

  • 50/50 – this is the most common ratio used, ideal for basic vaping devices like the LiQuid Pro with atomiser resistance levels between 1.0 ohms and 2.0 ohms.
  • 70VG/30PG – designed for use with atomisers below 1.0 ohms, this is a common HVG blend formed to produce more vapour when sub-ohm vaping.

90VG/10PG. For those who are less concerned with the flavour of their e-liquid and enjoy producing massive clouds when vaping, 90% VG/ 10% PG is the perfect ratio. This mixture is ideal for use on high wattage vape devices.Jul 16, 2021

What is the PG VG ratio in vape vape?

The PG VG ratio depends more on how you vape. It depends on what vape mod or e-cigarette that is being used. There is both PG and VG in virtually all e-liquid blends. The ratio is the key to determining which e-liquid is right for any given vaping device.

What is the best PG/VG ratio for You?

This ratio contains the highest possible amount of PG, with the least possible amount of VG. Like we mentioned earlier, PG provides you with stronger throat hits and more flavor, but thinner clouds. To individuals not interested in enormous clouds but wish for a great throat hit and a nice, sassy flavor, MAX PG might be the best for you.

What is the best PG for vape juice?

Combined with the same methodology of inhalation, a high PG vape juice is ideal. MTL vapers should look to purchase ejuice that’s mixed at anywhere from 50/50 VG/PG, all the way to 0/100 (or 100% PG). DL is an innovation in vaping that took place over the past 4 years where vapor is inhaled directly from the vape mod into the user’s lungs.

What is the difference between PG and VG in E-Cig mods?

As a general rule, e-liquids that have more VG than PG are designed for e-cig mods that use atomizers with less than 1.0 ohms of resistance. This is otherwise known as sub ohm vaping. Temperature control vaping also uses atomizers less than 1.0 ohms.

Is 70 VG and 30 PG good?

70VG/30PG. This is the most common Short fill ratio you will see in vape shops. Will work well in most devices, should give you a smooth vape that still has that throat hit.

What is the best VG PG ratio for pod systems?

50VG/50PGWe are often asked which VG/PG ratio is the best for our e-liquids! The short answer: We recommend 70VG/30PG for all tanks and 50VG/50PG for pod systems!

Is 70% VG good?

70% VG/30% PG: (70/30) This is the best level for those who are interested in lots of vapor but still want to notice at least a little throat hit as well. 30/70 produces a smooth feeling that doesn't overpower them when inhaling, and big clouds when exhaling.

What VG PG is best for coils?

High VG e-liquids produce more vapour and have a smoother throat-hit, but the liquid is thick and can clog up coils quickly. E-liquids with more PG give more of a throat-hit and a sharper flavour. The liquid is thinner than VG, making it ideal for use with coils above 1ohm.

Is 70/30 Okay for pods?

Can I use a liquid 70/30 with 0 nicotine on a SMOK NORD pod? Yes. The nicotine level or type has no bearing on how a liquid wicks and atomizes. The Nord is optimized for 70/30, so you're good there.

How do you choose a PG VG ratio?

If you want maximum flavour out of your e-liquid, you want to choose an e-liquid with a balanced PG:VG ratio, so look out for a 50:50 ratio. Or favour PG in the e-liquid, so an e-liquid with a PG:VG ratio around 60:40.

What wattage should I vape 70 30?

E-liquid devices over 1 ohm E-liquids that produce a more noticeable hit with less of a focus on taste intensity and vapour clouds have a high PG ratio (e.g., a 70/30 PG/VG ratio). The device's product information will recommend a wattage setting. For example, you could find that a 1.6-ohm coil may need 12 watts.

Is 80/20 PG VG good?

This combination creates a thicker liquid due to the high VG concentration, making it ideal for sub-ohm vapes.

What is the best coil for 70/30 liquid?

Sub Ohm coilsAs a general rule of thumb, Sub Ohm coils should only be used with E Liquids in a 70% VG to 30% PG mix since VG is much thicker than PG. The low power resistance allows for much higher temperatures to be used, meaning more E Liquid can be vaporized in one go.

What coil is best for 50 50 juice?

Although we usually recommend 50% VG blends for coils between 1.0Ω or 1.8Ω, some of these juices work perfectly with some very sub-Ohm coils, it's just trial and error between different types of coils and different flavours. Ohms is a measure of electrical resistance, a vape coil that's 1.0Ω or less is sub-Ohm.

Does high VG juice burn coils?

If your juice doesn't soak into the wick as quickly, you're more likely to run into dry puffs and possibly burn your wicks. This means that juices with a high VG content (70 % or higher) can cause problems with wicking and may ruin your coils.

What wattage should I vape at?

What most people overlook, though, is the fact that even 10 watts is sufficient to guarantee a satisfying vape, and some users are right at home with this wattage. By and large, though, we could say vaping starts to get more exciting between the range of 40 and 50 watts.

What juice is best for pods?

If you're looking for a vape juice for your tank setup, any juice will work. Choose a high-VG one if cloud production matters to you. If you're looking for a juice to fill your pod mod or you care more about flavor than clouds, look for one that's at least 50% PG.

Is VG or PG better for flavor?

PG carries flavor marginally better than VG, so the flavor will be slightly improved. Smoothness – High VG fluid tends to give a much smoother feeling on the throat, with a more substantial, 'thicker' mouthfeel.

What is VG vape?

VG is a thick and sticky, odorless, and slimy ingredient. As mentioned earlier, consistency is vital, and the vape juice will burn if it gets too watery. VGs high smoke point hinders this from occurring; also, its thicknesses allow the clouds to thicken.

What are the ingredients in e-liquid?

E-liquid comprises four ingredients: vegetable glycerin (VG), propylene glycol (PG), flavorings, and nicotine. The base being the VG and PG to ensure that the vape juice has the correct consistency to exist solely. Basically, there is no exact PG vs VG proportion for e-liquids since some vapers like more VG and others like more PG.

Is PG a thinner vape?

On the other hand, PG is more liquid and thinner; thus, balancing the VG and inhibiting vape juice from becoming exceedingly thick. PG thinness thins vaporizer clouds. However, it is also said to give a deeper throat hit and concentrate the flavor due to the way it evaporates.

Can you change the ratio of e-liquid?

It turns out that even minor adjustments to the proportion of e-liquid might alter the vaping experience quite dramatically. This is why understanding what the ratios do to vaping experience is so significant. Changing that ratio may result in stronger flavor, bigger clouds, and a powerful throat hit.

Does PG build up more than VG?

PG Produces Less Gunk. With a low density, PG does not build up as much gunk as VG. Unlike VG, the gunk from PG is less likely to clog your vaporizer’s heating element which means it doesn’t need the same amount of maintenance it would with a VG base e-liquid.

Is PG a flavor carrier?

PG is a Flavor Carrier. PG is an efficient flavor carrier. It is the main flavor carrier in e-liquids. Hence, e-liquids with intense flavors are more likely to have a higher PG base than not. PG is Thinner. PG is thinner than VG because of PG’s runny consistency.

What is the best VG/PG ratio?

For beginners, a more balanced VG/PG ratio would be most appropriate like a 50VG/50PG or 60VG/40PG.

What does PG stand for in vaping?

I like 80pg 20vg or 70pg 30vg, but that's me you might be different. You just have to try different %'s and see what works for you.

Deacon Aegis Senior Member Verified Member ECF Veteran

Wow, that is really a subjective question. So far, I've found that it depends on the delivery system I am using. I am also very new to vaping, so you might hear differently from many others. From what I've read though, PG tends to be both more flavorful and delivers a more potent throat hit than VG. VG delivers more of that vaper cloud than PG.

Well, a device hasn't been made yet that vapourizes both individually and at the same time, or at least i don't think so anyway. It's just a matter of time though. I'd imagine a dual tank arrangement, one for each. Actually now i come to think of it you can get dual tanks, so maybe.

It might have to do with the fact that most of my juices are fruity or that Im using carto- tanks.

yzer Vaping Master ECF Veteran

For me 95% VG, 5% distilled water and 18 mg nicotine is best. Zero PG, zero flavoring.

StereoDreamer Ultra Member ECF Veteran

I mix most of my own juice (and order commercial juice) at 30/70 or 20/80. I prefer the HUGE plumes of vapor and light throat hit that low PG/high VG juices give.

mommyofdoom Super Member Verified Member ECF Veteran

I prefer high or full VG. I like the smoother flavor and love the vapor I get from VG.

How Vaping Works?

  • Vaping is converting the liquid into a vapor so the user can inhale it. For this to work, there needs to be a balance and consistency to the liquid. PG is thinner and could burn up instead of becoming vapor, so you may lose some liquid when you go for a higher PG ratio. VG, conversely, is thicker and could clog up your system, making it impossible to vape. Both VG and PG are includ…

Standard Levels

  • E-cigarettes usually have a 50-50 ratio. E-cigs are different from other vaping devices, so the 50-50 mix is not usually the best PG-VG ratio. Vape juice for more advanced devices is often 70-30 PG to VG or 80-20. One cool thing about vape stores is that some make their own juice, and most can mix and match in any way you want. For example, they ca...
