Legs are lost ohms or lost watts.. it vaping power you can't use. They are measured from coil center to contact on post. The longer the legs the more power is lost.

What is vaping?

What is Vaping? We all know what a cigarette is – a paper tube filled with shredded tobacco, usually with a filter at one end – but many people don’t understand exactly what it is that vapers (e-cigarette users) are inhaling from.

What is leg length discrepancy?

This difference may simply be a mild variation between the two sides of the body. Leg length discrepancy is an orthopedic problem that usually appears in childhood, in which a child’s two legs are of unequal lengths.

What is leg length measurement test?

Leg Length measurement tests assesses actual and functional leg length differences. Measurement of an actual difference in leg length is performed with the patient standing by placing shims of varying thickness (0.5, 1, 2 cm ) underneath the shorter leg until the pelvic obliquity is fully compensated.

What is a functional leg length difference?

A functional leg length difference occurs when the actual length of the limbs is the same, however, the legs appear to be different lengths due to posture. Functional leg length differences usually occur as a result of muscle weakness or inflexibility at the pelvis or foot and ankle complex.

What is leg length coil?

This is the straight part of the coil wire that is connected into the post terminals of the build deck. Typical length of each leg would be 2.5mm.

How to measure coil leg length?

To calculate spring wire length per coil, you must subtract the wire diameter from the outer diameter in order to get mean diameter. Once you have calculated mean diameter, multiply it by pi (3.14); this will give you the length of wire per coil.

How long should your legs be?

Neutral or balanced leg length is defined as 50% of our total stature. That ratio helps achieve the most efficient, biomechanical human gait. However, even with average-length legs, there's a 90% chance that your right leg is very slightly shorter than the left – about 3/16” shorter, but not enough to notice.

How do I know what size coil I need?

All we need is measuring the coil outer diameter, inner diameter and thickness. Volume will be in cubic millimeters. To obtain the coil length we have to divide the result by the section of the coil determined by coil width and thickness.

How do you measure a coiled hose?

The best way to get an accurate measurement of the hose's true relaxed length is to coil the hose up as tightly as possible (without damaging it), then roll it out like a tire until the hose is lying flat. This will balance the profile in the hose and give you a reliable length.

What is the formula to calculate the mean circumference of the coil?

R x (L/W). This formula is equivalent to the circumference each loop of the wire makes times the number of such loops in the coil.

How do you calculate the weight of a coil?

The approximate coil weight can be determined by measuring the Outside Diameter (OD), Inside Diameter (ID), and the Width.

I downloaded a coil calculator for my iPhone, but one of the fields asks for the coil leg length. Is there a specific length i need? I mean it's get cut down anyway right? I life the calculator features as it Gives all the pertinent information or at least a good guideline. So what do i use as a leg length?

Hi,as you have already answered yourself....you are cutting them down so theres no set length just what ever suits you....more fun in experimenting making different coils ie 26g parallels and twisted and seeing how they perform....just love messing about coil making, its a pastime all on its own ha....carry on and happy vaping ..

I believe that is going to be the length of the leg from the coil to the post. The closer the coil to the post, the shorter the leg, the lower the resistance. Even if your not sure the final position that you're going to mount your coil, it's still a good guide to get you in the ballpark.

Depends on the atty and coil and the distance between POLES. 5mm or less works fine for my Kayfun and Sat22. But on my Hobo the legs are at 7mm minimum.

it's not the extra leg that you cut off, it's the distance from the post to the coil.

What is leg length discrepancy?

A functional leg length difference occurs when the actual length of the limbs is the same, however, the legs appear to be different lengths due to posture. Functional leg length differences usually occur as a result of muscle weakness or inflexibility at the pelvis or foot and ankle complex. A structural leg length difference is when the limbs are anatomically different in length, this means that either one or all of the bones that form the leg (tibia) and thigh (femur) are longer on one side when compared to the other leg.

Why is one leg shorter than the other?

Post-traumatic – Fractures and other traumatic injuries to the bone may heal incorrectly, causing one leg to be shorter than the other; however, in some cases, these injuries can also speed up the growth of the injured leg.

How to compensate for limb length discrepancy in children?

Young children may compensate for a limb length discrepancy by flexing their knees or walking on their toes.

Why do my legs have a discrepancy?

It can also appear as a result of an injury or illness that causes damage to the growth plate.

How does limb length affect quality of life?

Most people have some degree of limb length discrepancy, but larger differences can affect well-being and quality of life by keeping you from participating in the activities you like.

What is an x-ray of the legs?

An x-ray provides images of dense structures, such as bone. If your doctor needs a more precise measurement of the discrepancy, he or she may order x-rays of your legs.

Is leg length discrepancy surgical?

For patients with minor limb length discrepancies (less than 1 inch) and no deformity, treatment is usually non-surgical in nature. Because the risks of surgery may outweigh the benefits, surg ical treatment to equalize small differences in leg length is not usually recommended.
