24mg is pretty hefty for chain vaping. It could be the nicotine or some other element irritating your throat, could be lack of hydration. The inability to taste is likely due to constant use/not changing flavor groups. Happens to us all. I would recommend using a lower nic level for constant vaping and increasing your fluid intake.

Sometimes, that happens to me too. I've discovered that menthol flavour works well for me. So, I started having two atomizers/ tanks with me: a tobbaco flavoured one, and a menthol one. If I start to notice that my throat is getting too sore, I'll just start switching the atomizers, and that seems to help.
