Although not fresh per-say, I've had the opportunity to try cryo-cured cannabis flower. The grower states that the process only takes two days compared to standard curing methods. This bud is some of the most beautiful and vibrant I've seen, but flavor and fragrance is subtle/lacking. It is airy and almost disintegrates when ground finely. It is not great for vaping alone, but when paired with a syringe of same-strain rosin to hydrate it is lovely as the bud thoroughly soaks it up.

The third haul is showing more visually obvious "vapor" and still isn't harsh at all... a bit of a 'high' coming on... Fourth haul; a little cooler than the first three, which I ascribe to some of the water content in the herb now missing. Inhalation and exhalation is still smoother than dried herb.

So in an episode of either genius or stupidity, the idea of vaporizing fresh undried ganja came to me the other day. But I don't know if it would work or even be pleasant (I could see it potentially tasting pretty bad). But it seems like it would work since you are only heating the material and not burning it.

If you're just doing a tester bud, I would highly recommend. You're getting such an amazing taste of fresh weed... How to make weed smokable?

To know that your cannabis buds are ready for curing, make sure that the dried branches already snap and not just bend when you try to manipulate them. If this is already the case, you can now take out the individual buds from their stems. Put the buds in airtight glass jars and open them only at least once a day to get rid of any air and moisture that have collected inside. You need to do this process for at least two weeks.

What are the steps to get weed to taste smokable?

After harvest, you have to do three steps in order to get to a point where your weed is already smokable. These steps are flushing, drying and curing. And if your cannabis tastes harsh, there might be a problem somewhere along the three steps.

How to flush weed?

It is done by using plain water that is already pH balanced to water your plants instead of using nutrient solution. The term “flushing” is very appropriate for this step because watering with pH balanced water would “flush” your plants of unwanted chemical compounds. Doing so will leach out residual salts that would affect your buds otherwise. You do the flushing by pouring lots of pH balanced water on your plants until most of it comes out from the bottom. When you’ve done this, you may notice that your plants start turning yellow or brown. You should not be alarmed by this reaction because this only means that flushing has worked.

Why does my puff smell like hay?

Another reason your puff can be merciless when consumed is from poor curing techniques. If you fail to develop your terpenes post-harvest, your bud will smell and smoke like hay. After a plant is harvested and the bud trimmed, it needs to be dried and cured. The easiest way to explain the process and differentiate the two is this: drying occurs immediately after harvest to get the bud to a desired humidity while curing is the process of letting the THC and terpenes mature. Like wine, good cannabis must sit for a bit after it is harvested and dried. This allows the terpenes to develop and mature after having the water evaporate. As with improper flushing, grows have an incentive to put out product as quickly as possible in order to make more money. Sometimes this means little to no curing.

What does THC look like?

THC forms in individual stalks that look like mushrooms under a magnifier. Botrytis, also known as bud rot, forms on the inside of the bud when the moisture content is too high and it is not being hit with air. In its early stages, it looks like white webbing that can be confused as THC to the uneducated.

Why does my toke poke my throat?

Improper flushing is one of the most common reasons why your toke seems to poke your throat and lungs.
