It'd be best to be unbleached organic cotton. Regular cotton balls are probably bleached and some may have other things in them like Hydrogen Peroxide. When cotton was first being used for vaping some would use regular cotton after boiling it, but I'd suggest staying safe and getting unbleached and organic.

Cotton balls can be unrolled. You just need to find the end of the roll.

Whichever you get used to working with works equally well for wick material. The cotton balls are fluffier from the beginning and all the fibers are combed in the same direction.

Use to use cvs sterile cotton for years and loved it, no boiling. Yep as others mentioned, just unroll the ball, stretch it out slightly and cut a strip lenght wise

CVS has organic cotton balls for around $5 for 80 count. So does Walgreens and Target. They also have organic cotton pads. A huge supply if only using for wicks.

Actually got a reply from emailing a government representative about the banning of flavors, etc.

As always, no direct links to any retailers. So now that PMTA has begun, what are the best all around online retailers that are still doing well by the community? I am trying to place an order of multiple items, but of course every retailer has a different inventory.

It’s entirely possible and safe but @oldhippydude is right. It will be a nightmare trying to form it into the right shape and get it to hold together to put it in the coil.

For a while I used Coil Master Pro Cotton Balls. How useful the balls are will depend on how well they can be unwrapped and cut to requirement.
