Most people who experience vaping headaches have dull pain, but symptoms can vary. In fact, some people report that vaping triggers more severe migraine headaches, although more research needs to be done in this area.

Can smoking cigarettes really trigger migraines?

You probably won’t get a migraine every time you smoke, but consistently having nicotine in your system will make migraines more likely — and the more nicotine you take in, the worse off you’ll be. Cigarette smoke also has a distinct odor. For some patients, the smell of cigarette smoke alone can be a migraine trigger.

Hello! I've been vaping for about 5 months but I'm new to these forums. I think Ecigs have probably saved my life and I really want to share it with my friends that still smoke. My best friend has migraines from time to time, not just headaches, but sit in a dark room with no light or sound, all day in pain migraines.

Tell her to order Swedish snus. If I were her I wouldn't vape anything either if it gave me a migraine. They are holy hell. Read the Alternatives to smoking Forum here on ecf and the links are important if you remember hearing all bad things about it. But have her order the plainest non flavored tobacco snus she can. No flavors. Just tobacco snus.

Yes she has been migraine free for a few weeks after she stopped vaping but she has smoked a bit. Also I'm not sure it was the vaping that triggered it, but it's really the only new thing introduced to her for those few days. I'll look into Swedish snus, but I'm not sure she would be into trying it.

If she has other "sensitivities" that she is aware of that trigger her migraines, she probably has either some knowledge or personal experience on what to avoid.

I know the Blu carts will bring on a headache/Migraine almost instantly. I don't know what was in them, but it was bad.

I started smoking because of migraines. Since I quit smoking, I've had a few more migraines than I did while smoking, but not like before I started smoking. I've found that all PG liquids or nic levels being too low/high will give me a migraine really quickly.

Does anybody with knowledge of migraines know if PG or VG can trigger a migraine?

TeriJo

I've just been going through a week of Ocular migraines. I've never had them like this. Usually I get one maybe once every six months.

Hey honey!!! I am not sure what is going on and I have not had any symptoms like yours. Just wanted to wish you well! I hope you find out what is going on and feel better really soon!!

nana

I feel for you, TeriJo. I know what you're talking about, but I've only had one in the almost six months I've been vaping. So, for me anyway, I'd say vaping isn't causing any for me. I also got some of the blue foam to try and have been using that for a couple of weeks now, so I don't think it's a problem for me either.
