I have started to get small bumps on my upper lip and below my bottom lip since I started vaping. They are almost like little pimples but they aren't. I have always had clear skin otherwise. Anyone have any issues with this also?

realsis Ultra Member Verified Member ECF Veteran

When I first started vaping I got these too. I even had them in my scalp. Eventually they just went away. I'm thinking it was a slight PG allergy and when my body got used to the PG, they disappeared. Hope this helps and hang in there!

were you previously smoking? and how much have you cut back on smoking since you started vaping.... the body does some really weird stuff when detoxifying from ciggies...

LoveVanilla Ultra Member ECF Veteran

I had similar issues that went away when I switched to VG juice. YMMV.

Thanks for posting this because it could help others also. I have read many posts where this was happening and most of them said that it just went away after a while. It makes sense that the body is clearing out toxins. Good luck to you and I hope it all just clears up and soon. (no pun intended)

It feels like my lips have little sore spots on them where I hold the trident tip while vaping. Anyone else get this? I almost feel like I have to quit vaping for a while and see if it goes away. But I'm addicted to vaping. Any suggestions? I've been putting a lip balm on before vaping to see if that will help.

Aviationrich Vaping Master ECF Veteran

I had the problem with dry, chapped lips. I used lip balm for awhile and it went away. Vaping will dehydrate you so keep up on water.

anyone else using yer Triton? a significant other perhaps? mebbe it's contagious!!!

roadkill46 Senior Member ECF Veteran

is the Triton tip metal? my one 30s is and i'm allergic to the nickle content in any metal tips, rings, earrings etc. i took some 3/8" shrink tubing and covered the metal, problem solved. that was my only lip issue with vaping.

gamegirl Full Member

The triton tip is plastic, sometimes it does get hot while vaping. I know that I don't drink enough water, so I'm going to try drinking more and see if that helps. I'm the only one that uses it, no one else in my house vapes.

Penguins17 Ultra Member ECF Veteran

I used to get chapped lips when I first started with it. But sores.... I don't know, maybe some hot juice is hitting your lips.Try holding it a little more vertically (tip up) when hitting it, and drag slower. I have never hit my lips with hot juice, but I scroched my tongue once and it wasn't very painful, but annoying for days.

gamegirl Full Member

Great idea, Thanks. I have been holding it kind of tilting it so that the juice runs towards the tip, and I have gotten juice on my lips several times. I thought that I needed to hold that way to get a better vape, but I just tried and it's great. I'm going to stick with this and see if that takes it away. I feel pretty stupid for doing that now!
