Hey guys I have a question. Is it fine to use normal facial cotton for wicking? or does it have to be organic cotton.

It'd be best to be unbleached organic cotton. Regular cotton balls are probably bleached and some may have other things in them like Hydrogen Peroxide. When cotton was first being used for vaping some would use regular cotton after boiling it, but I'd suggest staying safe and getting unbleached and organic.

Cotton balls can be unrolled. You just need to find the end of the roll.

Whichever you get used to working with works equally well for wick material. The cotton balls are fluffier from the beginning and all the fibers are combed in the same direction.

Use to use cvs sterile cotton for years and loved it, no boiling. Yep as others mentioned, just unroll the ball, stretch it out slightly and cut a strip lenght wise

CVS has organic cotton balls for around $5 for 80 count. So does Walgreens and Target. They also have organic cotton pads. A huge supply if only using for wicks.
How to Boil the Vape Cotton Ball?

Can you boil cotton?
Even if you want to boil, there are things you need to know. For instance, you shouldn’t use tap water for boiling the cotton. Tap water contains enough impurities. Use filtered water or bottled water, when and if possible.
Do you need a RDA for a vaporizer?
To begin, you need the vaporizer with the RDA or RBA. Now, the coil needs to be installed on the build deck before attempting to wick it and avoid bending it out of shape.
Can you soak organic cotton in e juice?
However, organic cotton soaks really fast and doesn’t require enough standing time.
Can you cut off extra wick after inserting it in coil?
It is always better to take more and then cut off the extra portion after inserting it in the coil. Tweezers will help you adjust the wick once you get it through the coil.
