Depends on how you feel otherwise, I guess... but it is a well known reaction to quitting smoking. As other have said, the lungs begin to heal, the cilia grow back and after a couple of weeks (usually) you may start coughing up some of the tar that has built up in your lungs (usually mixed with phlegm) .
