Fellas and ladies, I have been living with costochondritis for just under 10 months...or so I thought.

Misdiagnosed

Just got diagnosed today

Been struggling with this for at least 6 months. Every time it flares up it triggers severe anxiety, thinking it’s heart related etc. It’s a huge relief to know other people have the same pains and react to it the same way. I’ve been put on a waiting list for physiotherapy.

About a month in now, almost zero pain-free days, MUST be doing something wrong

I really feel for those of you who have dealt with this for years. Still awaiting a diagnosis, and I think that's adding to the stress of it all. But I'm going on a month now and every single day is painful and stressful.

16 year old-costo- fully recovered

Started when I had lacrosse conditioning and went to the gym on the same day for a week. I was pushing my body more than I ever had and I layer down in bed one night and felt the pain. I still practiced and lifted. It got worse and so bad that I couldn’t breathe and went to the ER. Chest x-ray, EKG, and blood work completely normal.
