Ultrafire batteries are some of the most counterfeited batteries out there. Because of that you don't really know what they are. IMO they are ICR chemistry which is dangerous to use in a e-cig. The protection circuit is there because they need it. When they vent they burn, unlike the newer IMR and hybrid safer chemistry batteries.

I agree with the above. "Never trust a battery with 'FIRE' in the name". All of these lesser name brand batteries (Surefire, Trustfire, Ultrafire, etc) are poor quality, bottom-of-the-line batteries.

Either put a cup of salt into a bucket out in the yard and fill it with water FD, then carefully drop the batteries in. Give it a couple of weeks or so and they will be totally dead and then they can be safely put out with the household trash as will be completely inert.

I prefer AW IMR over Efest IMR, myself. But you have the same issues with counterfeiting, especially with Ebay as the source.
